Our Mission

To give sole traders and landlords a simple, affordable and reliable way to stay compliant with Making Tax Digital — without stress, without jargon, and without the cost or complexity people often expect.

Why we started LattaCook.

We saw that many sole traders and landlords were struggling to find support that was clear, affordable and easy to use. Most options felt too complex, too expensive or too impersonal - leaving a gap for something simpler, friendlier and built around real people.

MTD is a big shift, and 2026 will be a bedding‑in year with unanswered questions between HMRC, agents and software providers. People need support that is clear, calm and reliable — not jargon, not judgement, and not inflated fees.

LattaCook exists to make digital tax straightforward for the people who keep the economy moving: tradespeople, small landlords, micro‑businesses and self‑employed professionals.

Who We Are, and Where You’ll Find Us

Bournemouth‑based LattaCook is led by two directors with more than 30 years each in respected professional fields. One who will happily stay up into the moonlight hours hunting down a missing 5p, and one whose OCD‑driven need for order, structure and clean processes means those 5p mysteries rarely get the chance to exist in the first place.

Ali Latta, FMAAT - Director

A qualified bookkeeping professional with over 30 years of hands‑on financial management, compliance and client support. Ali’s attention to detail is legendary; if the numbers are out, she’ll find out why and she won’t stop until everything balances. Her accuracy keeps everything we deliver solid, compliant and grounded in best practice.

Lee Cook - Director

With a long career in the technology industry, Lee has spent more than three decades working across commercial strategy, digital operations and client experience. He focuses on creating the structure, systems and simple processes that make LattaCook scalable, calm and genuinely user‑friendly, ideally reducing the number of late‑night 5p investigations.
